Sports Performance

Many professional sports people recognise the value that Chiropractors add to themselves and their clubs, not only in terms of treatment, but also in the prevention of injury.

Overall Improvement

Chiropractic adjustments help to improve the overall function of the nervous system which is responsible for every function in your body.  The brain is the control centre and tells your body what to do and when, from the beating of your heart to the movement of your limbs.

We don’t have WiFi in our bodies, so all of these signals need to be sent down “wires” in our body. These “wires” are called nerves.  These nerves make up the spinal cord as they leave the brain and travel down the spine. The nerves then exit the spine on either side between the vertebrae to deliver instructions to their respective body parts (these could be organs or muscles).  Sometimes the vertebrae can become misaligned or fixed which can inhibit the way the nerves conduct (think of it like a kink in a hose).  This can lead to dysfunction and weakness.

Therefore, ensuring that the nerves have a good, uninterrupted and un-impinged pathway from the brain to the body (either organs or muscles) means that they are much more efficient at doing their job, which can mean the difference between gold or silver!
